We are excited to introduce the first and only bulk billed MRI service to Broken Hill. Thrive has now obtained accreditation and Medicare registration to enable our MRI services to be bulk billed from the 1st November 2022.
The introduction of bulk billed MRI scans will ensure that Broken Hill patients no longer have to travel to obtain free MRI scans. It also means that patients will have shorter waiting times and easier access to these services. An additional benefit of our service is that most Adelaide based specialists and hospitals have online access to our images, further reducing the delays in diagnosis. Common uses for MRI scans include cancer imaging, joint imaging, prostate and pelvis imaging and brain and spine imaging, just to name a few. We have already performed well over a thousand scans in our first year and have seen clients aged from 5 years to around 95 years. Our MRI machine is a 1.5T Siemens Magnetom Altea which is a system designed for a premium clinical imaging setting. It is one of the most popular machines on the market, with the latest technology and will provide the residents of Broken Hill and the surrounding communities with a range of examinations such as Body, Musculoskeletal and Neurological MRI.
