Accounts Officer
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, organised, and detail-focused full-time Accounts Officer to join our team.
This role supports the financial and administrative operations of Thrive Medical and is suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working with systems, and is confident following established processes.
Working closely with and reporting to our Accounts Manager, you will receive structured training and ongoing support while developing your skills across accounts and administration functions. Our accounting processes are managed through Xero, and this role provides an opportunity to build experience within a professional healthcare environment.
The successful applicant will be someone who is methodical, dependable, and committed to completing tasks accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Process date entry with a high level of accuracy
- Assist with invoices, accounts payable, and general accounts tasks
- Support debt collection and follow up outstanding payments
- Maintain accurate financial and administrative records
- Update and manage information within systems, including Xero
- Follow established procedures and ensure tasks are completed correctly
- Review work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with processes
- Communicate effectively with the Accounts Manager and wider team as required
About You
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to follow instructions, processes, and procedures consistently
- Good computer skills and confidence learning new systems
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Reliable, professional, and willing to learn
- Ability to work independently once trained, while contributing positively as part of a team
- Previous experience in administration, accounts, data entry, or a computer-based role is desirable
- Must hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check (WWCC), and National Police Check (NPC), or be willing to obtain these prior to commencement
Desirable Experience (Not Essential)
- Experience using Xero or similar accounting software
- Exposure to accounts processes, invoicing, or financial administration
- Experience working in a healthcare, professional services, or administrative environment
