Medical Receptionist and Imaging Receptionist
About the Roles
We are seeking friendly, organised, and professional Medical Receptionists and Imaging Receptionists to join our team in part-time and casual positions.
These roles require more than administrative capability – they require an understanding of healthcare services, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting quality patient care.
Our Medical Reception team supports a multidisciplinary environment across general practice, allied health, rehabilitation, fitness, and workplace medical services, requiring knowledge of different appointment types, referrals, and patient pathways.
Our Imaging Reception team supports a comprehensive medical imaging service delivered in collaboration with Bensons Radiology, requiring accuracy in managing imaging bookings, referrals, patient preparation requirements, Medicare, billing, and communication with healthcare providers.
Both roles are suited to someone who enjoys learning, takes pride in accuracy, and is passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients, visitors, referring providers, and healthcare teams
- Manage enquiries, appointments, bookings, and patient communications
- Coordinate medical, allied health, workplace medical, and imaging appointments
- Process Medicare, private health insurance, workplace billing, and payments accurately
- Maintain patient records while ensuring confidentiality and privacy compliance
- Support clinicians with administration, correspondence, and general office tasks
- Liaise with healthcare providers, hospitals, and employers
- Learn and use healthcare administration and practice management systems
About You
- Friendly, professional, and patient-focused approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to confidentiality and high-quality service
- Previous experience in healthcare, medical administration, allied health, imaging, or a complex customer service environment is desirable
- Confident using computers and willing to learn new systems
